Survivor Macronesia

Mr. Mike you ran your mouth just enough to get Chet, Kathleen , and Tracey to but a bug in Joel's ear to get you out . Actually I thought it was a good move. Eventually the tribes may merge and if you can be around when that happens your chances improve being the weaker link and flying under the radar. Another thing to watch for is the dissension that is arising on the Favs side. Jonathon I fear is moving closer to ending up where he did before, GONE.

Future Millionaire or Scammer?

A young boy enters a barber shop and the barber whispers to his customer 'This is the dumbest kid in town.... watch while I prove it to you.'The barber puts a dollar bill in one hand and two quarters in the other, then calls the boy over and asks 'Which do you want, son?'The boy takes the quarters and leaves.'What did I tell you?' said the barber. 'That kid never learns!'Later, when the customer leaves, he sees the same young boy coming out of the ice cream store. 'Hey, son! May I ask you a question... why did you take the quarters instead of the dollar bill?'The boy licked his cone and replied 'Because the day I take the dollar, the game's over!'

Let t Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Well, we got another 6 inches last night and this morning on top of rain then ice, which caused us to lose power(only about an hour). Then about 2 in the afternoon the dang sun came out, go figure. The old saying around here is "blink your eyes and the weather will change". I must admit it sure was pretty.......

Back On Track

The Drake Bulldogs were picked to finish 9th in pre-season. Little did anyone know they would put up a 23-2 overall and 14-1 league mark. After losing to Southern Illinois and halting their winning streak the "Dogs" bounced back and beat Northern Iowa. That win enabled them to capture the title of MVC League Champion, something that hasn't been done since 1971.

Shop owner Emiko Sakurada said it was the first time puppy with the marks had been born out of a thousand she had bred . She had no plans to sell the puppy, which has been named 'Heart-kun'. The long-coated male Chihuahua puppy was born in Odate, northern Japan __________________________________________________________

Bulldogs Roll Again

Junior forward Jonathan Cox scored 14 of his season-high 21 points in the second half helping power No. 15 ranked Drake to its school-record 21st straight victory with a 73-65 Missouri Valley Conference decision past Evansville Saturday night. It was a great game but I swear these officials need to get their eyes checked. Both teams traveled so much you could have walked downtown and back. Next opponent Wednesday against Southern Illinois.

Survivor-Macronesia

Thank God, he's gone. Too bad, sooooo sad! Missing his girlfriend, baby on the way, and head not in the game led to Johnny Fairplay's demise on Survivor Macronesia. Now this is the guy who cried and said his grandmother had died so pardon me if I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. Good Riddens....(full story)

The Value of a Catholic Education And A #2 Pencil .........

Little Mary Margaret was not the best student in Catholic School and usually she slept through the class.
One day her teacher, a Nun, called on her while she was sleeping.
'Tell me Mary Margaret, who created the universe?'
When Mary Margaret didn't stir, little Johnny who was her friend sitting behind her, took his pencil and jabbed her in the rear.
'God Almighty!' shouted Mary Margaret.
The Nun said, 'Very good' and continued teaching her class.
A little later the Nun asked Mary Margaret, 'Who is our Lord and Savior?'
But Mary didn't stir from her slumber.
Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck Mary Margaret in the butt.
'Jesus Christ!!!' shouted Mary Margaret and the Nun once again said, 'Very good,' and Mary
Margaret fell back sleep.
The Nun asked her a third question...'What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?' Again, Johnny came to the rescue.

This time Mary Margaret jumped up and shouted, 'If you stick that damn thing in me one more time, I'll break it in half!'

The nun fainted..........

Sister Sue

Sue had her head shaved yesterday and all in all she was in pretty good spirits. After the beautician got done she slapped Sue in the back of the head and told her she had a flat head. If you knew my sister she must have been in pretty good spirits otherwise I am sure she would have given her a what for. Her husband Sammy got his hair cut real short too, Love is grand. I asked her how the wig was and she told me she now has straight hair. Sue got all the curls in the family and as far back as I can remember she has always wanted straight hair. Sue, only three more Chemo sessions, hang in there it's almost over.

How 'Bout Them Bulldogs

Well, the "Dogs" did it again thanks to senior guard, Adam Emmeneker who scored 16 of his career-high 20 points in the second half to trigger No. 16 ranked Drake to its 19th straight victory with an 83-77 win over Indiana State. Drake's next game will be Tuesday against Illinois State.

Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmmmm

People with blue eyes have a single, common ancestor, according to new research. You don't suppose we with blue eyes are all related? Veddy interesting...

It's About Time.......

Finally, Brittany's parents have come forward and have stopped their daughter from self-destructing. I myself have been wondering where the hell they have been. It is beyond me how they could sit back and watch their daughter, or should I say the monster they created, cry for help and be ignored. This is a vibrant beautiful person that was put in an adult world and was never allowed to grow up, never allowed to be a kid or experience the natural steps of becoming an adult. I guess what I am trying to say is let's not just blame Brittany for all of this. There are those of you, and you know who you are, that should own up and take some responsibility for what has happened.

Now This Is Funny

Sister Sue

My sister had her 1st chemo treatment last Thursday and the side affects hit her pretty hard about Tuesday. She was feeling mighty punie so husband Sammy took her to the doctor and they pumped her full of steroids, fluids, and anti-nausea medicine. I talked with her last night and she sounded a whole lot better. One thing troubles me though, she made the comment that she might not continue with the treatments. She has 3 left and knowing that she wasn't feeling 100% I didn't say much. I hope it was just a slight hickup in her thoughts and that she does in fact continue. Sue is really upset about losing her hair but she did order a wig and it arrived Wednesday. She is going to have her head shaved rather than go through losing her hair a little bit at a time. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with her and I hope she makes the right decision on continuing the treatments.
