Chicago-God I Love his City
I am sitting here in my hotel room and view is spectacular. Lake Michigan, the museums, and Soldier Field..what a sight. We are getting ready to head over to Wrigley Field maybe catch some Cub's batting practice. It is going to be a grand day....good friends, baseball, and of course some adult libations.

We said goodbye to Cecilia Canc'er and The Rocketts
Well, this has been a few days I care not to remember. I mentioned a few weeks ago that my younger sister had to have a biopsy done. Well, yadda yadda and what it all boiled down to was she had cancer in her right lung. Well, she had surgery this past Wednesday and they ended up taking the upper lobe of the right lung and all the lymph nodes, hence the title of the blog. Prior to the surgery she was told that it would be the most painful thing she will have experienced for a long time. Holy shit, was that Doctor right. My brother Mark and I saw her this morning and it was gut wrenching to see her in that much pain. She was ready to give up and at that moment and I told her you are tough and a "Hayes" and things will be ok. Since then I have talked with her husband Sammy and she is doing better. They were finally able to regulate everything and figure what pain meds will help her the most. I am rambling on because I am sitting in a motel room in Mt. Vernon, Illinois missing family and most of all my other half, Val. We haven't seen each other in a few days. We are meeting in Chicago for a Cubs' and Bears' game Love to all my family, Sue (Sue's friend), Val, Ed, and all my friends hope to see you soon.

Go Cubbies!!
Well, one down three to go! I am here in St.Louis with my better half and a friend for the Cubs vs. Cards game toinight and can hardly wait. We arrived about 9:15, checked in, and went to the bar just in time to see the Cubs beat the Cards. Even tho they won they had to provide a heart attack moment to the tune of loading bases in the bottom of the ninth but thank God to no avail. Can't they just come in the bottom of the ninth and win like everyone else does? The Cubs have a 1 1/2 lead with 15 games to play. Next week we're off to Chicago to see them play Pittsburgh. Go Cubs Go, Go Cubs Go, what do ya say Cubs are going to win today! Those of you that are Cubs fans sorry, the tune is in your head isn't it?
